The food is soo good! Packed with flavor! The hummus is amazing! Large portions, definitely sharable.... but its too good to share!

Nice menu at this restaurant, the food is good for the quality here in Arizona. The entire business is clean but it's like all over the place, trying to do everything at once. Random stage with club lights and throne chairs and dim lights, a bar in the middle, a lounge on one side, machine food delivery...I personally recommend having some kind of divider..and maybe moving the stage to storage? it makes the aesthetic look tacky--but overall the decor inside is beautiful but the dimmed lights do it no justice. The service was okay, staff were nice and food was out quick, but barely checked in. We had to get their attention a few times. I'll probably come again.
Stop by every time I'm in Phoenix!! Great food, great service and a fair price. The added fun that the food is delivered by a robot. I like that they have a full bar too
Caroun is our GO TO restaurant for Middle Eastern food in Phoenix. We generally order the Appetizer platter (which use to be complimentary) and the Family Platter for 3. We were there on Saturday evening. The food is always excellent and there are always leftovers to take home. Unfortunately, on Saturday night there were 6 unruly children who thought they were at the playground. They ran around the restaurant - making a significant amount of noise, and were never asked to stop by their respective parents or the staff. It certainly made for an unpleasant experience for us and other customers. I hope the owner reads my comments. We have second thoughts about returning there. Our Go To restaurant in Scottsdale is the Persian Room. We have never experienced unrully children there. The Persian Room is lovely and the food is excelent.
This would've been my second time at Caroun. The first I had the pleasure of seeing a belly dancer and enjoyed some fun Iraqi music. The atmosphere is great and the service is quick. I love the food truly and I think proportions are fitting for the price. I will say that this last time I ordered salad, it had way too much vinegar in it. But besides that, our meals were amazing!
The restaurant ambiance is great. Service was a bit slow but you can tell for a Saturday lunch time they only had one server that was helping over 5 tables and also to go orders. The server asked us for our order, I asked if I can place the entire order together but get the appetizers first. Then they can get us the meals. She said us but the robot server brought everything together. It was disappointing to say the least as we wanted to enjoy our beer with the appetizers, but instead we got everything. So we opted to eat our meal first so it doesn't get cold, and snack on the appetizers later. The taste was great. The chicken fried steak was somewhat cold and not hot enough. The rice that came with the kebab and the kebab itself was delicious. Baba ghanouj and the hummus were good, the grape leaves clearly were from a can. Will definitely be back as the taste was great in most of the food items.
